It aims to answer questions about how or in what way, and why rather than what, how much/many, and to what extent.
Qualitative research design offers a unique lens to explore the complex and multifaceted aspects of the human experience. Qualitative researchers illuminate the richness of our social world by embracing open-ended research questions, diverse data collection methods, purposive sampling, and rigorous ethical considerations. Through careful analysis, qualitative research reveals the stories, meanings, and insights that quantitative methods alone cannot capture, making it invaluable for understanding the human condition (Merriam, 2009).
