Connect, Learn, and Grow with the WeCWIIS Memberships and Community
Learning and professional development extend beyond accessing information. They also involve interaction, knowledge sharing, reflection, and participation in a community with common interests. WeCWI Integrated Solutions (WeCWIIS) provides a community-based environment where English language learners, postgraduate students, and professionals can access relevant resources and interact with others according to their learning and professional needs.
The WeCWIIS subscription structure consists of WeCWIIS Plus and WeCWIIS Pro. Both provide access to the WeCWIIS online community, but each serves a different group of members. WeCWIIS Plus focuses primarily on English language learners, while WeCWIIS Pro provides broader access for postgraduate students and professionals. Beyond membership, WeCWIIS also provides opportunities for individuals to participate more actively in the community as Associates or Strategic Partners.
These roles recognise members and appointed individuals who contribute to extending the reach of WeCWIIS through appropriate referrals, networking, and information sharing.
A. Memberships Solutions
a. WeCWIIS Plus
WeCWIIS Plus is designed primarily for English language learners. It provides a space where members can access language-related materials while participating in the wider WeCWIIS community. Each Plus member receives an individual profile page that lets them establish their presence in the member community. Members can also access the WeCWIIS forum to discuss and exchange ideas with other members. WeCWIIS Plus members can join both the WeCWIIS Plus and WeCWIIS Discoveries groups.
The WeCWIIS Plus group provides a common space for members within this subscription category, while the Discoveries group extends their exposure to information, ideas, and resources shared within the WeCWIIS community. Another important component of the membership is access to WeCWI and language blog articles. These articles give members opportunities to explore topics related to language learning, teaching, WeCWI, and related educational developments.
Where commenting is enabled, members may also respond to the articles and contribute their own views or experiences. In this way, WeCWIIS Plus combines access to learning materials with interaction through profiles, groups, forums, and blog discussions. Rather than functioning only as a collection of online resources, it provides English language learners with opportunities to participate in a learning community.
b. WeCWIIS Pro
WeCWIIS Pro is intended primarily for postgraduate students and professionals. It provides broader access to the WeCWIIS community and its available resources, particularly for members whose interests extend to postgraduate study, research, education, professional development, and related areas. Like Plus members, Pro members receive an individual profile page and access to the WeCWIIS forum.
WeCWIIS Pro members can join the WeCWIIS Pro, WeCWIIS Discoveries, and Postgraduate groups. These spaces offer opportunities for members to engage with content and discussions that match their academic and professional interests. In particular, the Postgraduate group provides an additional community space relevant to members undertaking or interested in postgraduate education and research.
WeCWIIS Pro members may also access and comment on all blog articles available under their membership access. This provides wider exposure to WeCWIIS content covering language, postgraduate studies, education, research, innovation, professional development, and other relevant areas.
Another feature of WeCWIIS Pro is its connection to the WeCWIIS community programme. An active Pro member automatically becomes a WeCWIIS Associate, subject to the applicable membership and participation requirements. This provides members with an opportunity to move beyond accessing resources and become more actively involved in extending the WeCWIIS community.
B. Community Solutions
The WeCWIIS Community provides another level of participation for individuals who wish to contribute to the dissemination and development of WeCWIIS. This structure offers two roles: WeCWIIS Associate and Strategic Partner. These roles are based on participation and achievement. Individuals may support WeCWIIS by introducing its activities and resources to appropriate audiences, making referrals, and sharing relevant information through their professional and social networks.
a. WeCWIIS Associate
WeCWIIS can appoint an associate or qualify them through an active WeCWIIS Pro membership, which automatically makes them an Associate while the membership is active. Associates enhance awareness of WeCWIIS by sharing information about its activities, resources, programs, and services through professional, academic, social, or other networks.
Associates may earn a bonus by promoting WeCWIIS through eligible activities or referrals. Associates should conduct any such activity responsibly, with accurate information and appropriate professional communication. Associate status is generally valid for one year, with continuation depending on achievement and fulfilment of the applicable WeCWIIS requirements. The role therefore recognises active participation rather than functioning solely as a membership title.
b. WeCWIIS Strategic Partner
A WeCWIIS Strategic Partner represents a further level of community participation. WeCWIIS may directly appoint Strategic Partners, and an existing Associate may become eligible for this status after obtaining 100 referrals, subject to verification and the relevant requirements.
The Strategic Partner role acknowledges individuals who consistently connect WeCWIIS with a broader community. Like Associates, they may support WeCWIIS through referrals, networking, and information sharing. Strategic Partners can also earn a bonus by promoting WeCWIIS through eligible activities, while upholding the professional and ethical standards of the WeCWIIS community.
Strategic Partner status is generally valid for two years, depending on achievement. The longer period reflects a continuing relationship with WeCWIIS while allowing participation to be reviewed according to contribution and engagement.
C. Participation
The different membership and community categories provide several levels of participation. An English language learner may begin with WeCWIIS Plus to access language-related articles, groups, forums, and community interaction. A postgraduate student or professional may choose WeCWIIS Pro for wider access to blog content and specialised groups, together with automatic Associate status.
Members who become Associates can contribute further by introducing WeCWIIS to others through appropriate referrals and professional networks. With continued participation and 100 referrals, an Associate may become eligible to progress to Strategic Partner status. Regardless of membership or community role, WeCWIIS participation supports knowledge exchange, learning, professional interaction, and community development.
Members, Associates, and Strategic Partners are expected to communicate responsibly, provide accurate information, respect other participants, and use WeCWIIS resources appropriately. Through this structure, WeCWIIS connects learning with participation. Members can begin by accessing resources relevant to their needs and, where appropriate, gradually take on a more active role within the wider WeCWIIS community.
