Formulating a Theoretical Framework from Literature Review

A theoretical framework serves as the foundation for an entire investigation. A theory is a collection of concepts organized into assumptions and generalizations that lead to hypotheses about a phenomenon (Grant & Osanloo, 2014). On the other hand, a framework is the structure of an idea or notion and how it is assembled. However, "model" and "theory" are sometimes used interchangeably.
